Who we are
Surrounded by greenery, among flowers, ancient olive trees and vineyards, in the center of the Gargano National Park is the “Posta Pastorella” farm. It is an old seventeenth-century farmhouse, a stone’s throw from the sea and the Umbra Forest and 7 km from the center of Vieste, used as a “post” station for the exchange of horses and refreshment for travelers of the stagecoaches who, crossing the Gargano, led to Vieste. Now, carefully restored, without detracting from the ancient charm, it has been divided into rooms and apartments to offer hospitality to those wishing to spend a holiday on the Gargano. The company has a collecting well for rainwater and solar panels to produce hot water for showers; moreover, it uses pruning wood for heating.
Located in an area rich in historical and archaeological ruins and beautiful landscapes, the farm offers guests the possibility of a peaceful and quiet stay not without interest; in addition, the land surrounding the farm is rich in fossil finds and a walk through the vineyards and olive trees can give the pleasant surprise of the discovery of some fossils characteristic of the territory of the Gargano. In the morning, from the large terrace, you can watch a breathtaking spectacle: the sunrise directly from the sea; and in the evening admire the sunset towards the hills of the nearby Foresta Umbra.
Guests can take advantage of several other services: a large garden, bar and swimming pool with Jacuzzi, free wireless internet flat, outdoor barbecue, enclosed parking; in addition, lido affiliated with charter boats and water sports courses.
Surrounded by olive trees and vineyards, the large swimming pool with whirlpool and children’s area offers a pleasant stay under the banner of complete relaxation; on the pool there is a breakfast bar and aperitifs with company products.
